Michael DacreMICHAEL DACRE

Tales within tales within

Michael tells folktales, fairytales, myths and legends from around the world but mainly from the British Isles and Europe. His style is vigorous and literary, entertaining and well researched, often scary and frequently hilarious. His vast hoard of stories - currently standing at about 400 - will enrich your imagination with a fine flow of powerful narrative, from epics of King Arthur and Robin Hood to wild tales from beyond the Irish pale to curious tales of ravens and other beasts from all over the globe. He says, "I tell these stories because they are good, strong stories, evolved and perfected by word of mouth through many generations of storytellers, illustrating in powerful archetypal images the universal themes of human life."
