STORYTELLING CAFEDerbyshire Literature Festival Storytelling in a Tent
|
| KATRICE HORSLEY
& GRAHAM LANGLEY
Sit back and enjoy the wonders and delights of two of England's most entertaining storytellers. Let then caress your ears with their words and tickle your mirth buds with their tongues. Be transported to worlds beyond your wildest dreams, where the fantastic becomes a reality. The Live and Local tent will be given a coffee house atmosphere for the appearance of Storytelling Café. This is an occasion for an adult audience to let themselves in to the magical realms of storytelling with two of The Midlands’ leading storytellers, Katrice Horsley and Graham Langley. Both are known for their bright and colourful style of telling stories and together for their unique twisting and twining of tales. “It will be a feast for the imagination and a feast for the stomach.” declares Katrice. As part of the evening they will be serving mouth watering cakes. “Everybody loves cakes and everybody likes being told a story.” explains Graham, “The two go so well together and make a delightful evening’s entertainment. This is our way of bringing stories back to an adult audience”. Katrice and Graham have been presenting Storytelling Cafés throughout the region for the last five of years and are residents at the Birmingham Storytelling Cafe. Graham first brought the idea back from Australia where he had performed in cafes. They have not found the same sort of cafes in Britain so they had to invent them. So come along to share the pure delight of storytelling at its best. |
