PERFORMANCES

NEW CASSETTE

A cassette of Graham's stories has been in preparation for some time and is due for release in June 1999.

GRAHAM is a very versatile performer who is able to work with audiences of all ages. He has a range of stories to suit many situations. His performance style is active and lively, constantly engaging the audience in the stories. His telling of stories is interspersed with songs and music and Willie Whitlam, his delightful dancing doll.

He tells stories in clubs, arts centres, castles, libraries, museums, in the countryside and schools. He tells seasonal tales, stories for Halloween, and for many special occasions.

His enthusiasm for stories is infectious and your audiences will carry his stories away to retell to friends and family.

Ballads&Blarney

A lively and entertaining evening with Graham and JANET WOOD. As well as being an accomplished singer-songwriter, Janet is a community musician working with children, the elderly and many other special interest groups.

BALLADS&BLARNEY is a blend of their combined talents, enabling the presentation of a mixed evening of songs and stories suitable for all ages, or tailored to suit any audience. Their performances together draw on their extensive backgrounds to deliver just the right sort of performance for your audience.

Ragnall

What are the stories and what do they mean
Where do they come from, these landscapes, these themes
Who are the people who walk through our dreams
What are the stories and what do they mean

The sovereignty of the land and the sovereignty of the people are one and the same thing. The ancient story of Sir Gawaine and The Loathly Lady is retold through story and song. The show harks back to pre-Arthurian times and at the same time shows how these stories touch all of our lives today.

Skeleton Woman
This is the sort of show that will knock your socks off. Performing with composer Peter Batchelor, this is a short piece of storytelling and electro-acoustic music.  This is a strange marriage of one of the oldest art forms with one of the most modern. First performed at the Mac in Birmingham on 11 May as part of BEAST's 1999 season.
Stories from the Black Country and Beyond
This is an evening of stories by Graham on his own, starting with stories from close to his native Birmingham.
